Does anyone know if the technology for After Image Reduction is the same in the PDP-5080 as in the PDP-5010? IF it's better in the PDP-5010 I'm wondering if the additional $1000 over the PDP-5080 is worth it since I plan on playing alot of video games from the Wii and Xbox 360.

The PDP-5010 and PDP-5010 specs list: (under the After Image Reduction Function)seamless orbiter, auto Size, side mask detection, side mask brightness, video pattern, and game control preference.

They look like they are the same in the specs I just want to be sure the PDP-5010 doesn't have something extra in this area

Thanks Rob

What do the different orbiter modes in the 5010 mean?

5010 has:
Seamless Orbiter (Off / Mode 1 / Mode 2)

5080 has:
Seamless Orbiter (Off / On)

No sorry, did not have the 5010 manual downloaded here at work, only the 5080. Should have checked.

I'm not sure if others have noticed this, but in orbiter mode I get white noise at the top of the screen (not all the time, but after the screen shifts). When I turn it off, it goes away. I assume the picture is shifting so far it is out of the range of the signal.

Just wondering if others see it. Not a big deal to me. Just wondering.
