I have a RCA Rear Projection TV its a D52W20 and I'm trying to find someone that has one to compare with.

1.) When I bought th TV it refused to do 720p video it would split the picture into 3 horizontal chunks and it would be black & white. (looks sorta like PAL trying to be played back on a NTSC set.)

2.) I have an overscan issue on both component & DVI-D inputs. I've tried the convergence and that doesn't correct it. I have found the service menu (powered off hold channel down and volume down for 12 secs the tv will turn on in service mode) I haven't mess with much in that because I'm afraid to damage my tv. but this is what I have in the menu

Soft-Ver. ITC222_v100-0 032514:42
config. W4-----P3

3.) I have always loved watching cartoons and this is my first tv that has ever gotten burn in from the cartoon network logo. what was could I go about fixing this myself ? the lower right corner has a gray faded cartoon network logo in it at all times.

thanks

James

If it's CRT there is no real fix aside from replacing the CRT's.

Is the display supposed ot handle 720p? Many many CRT RP's don't and they are 1080i only.

You think it has to much overscan? I'd leave it alone if it were me. But there may be somebody that knows how to adjust that with the service menu, but it's not me that's for sure.
