Need to move my Mitsubishi RPTV. Just across town but I want to make sure I don't damage anything. Specifically I am concerned about the bulbs moving out of alignment.
ANY ADVICE??

View Full Version : Moving my big screen Mitsubishi...need advice ntgeek 10-03-07, 10:37 PM Need to move my Mitsubishi RPTV. Just across town but I want to make sure I don't damage anything. ANY ADVICE?? ntgeek JOHNnDENVER 10-04-07, 10:58 AM Wrap it well for protection and strap in down rightside up. thsmith 10-08-07, 04:23 PM I moved a WS-73615 ealier this year and posted it here somewhere. I tied the TV down to a furniture dolly on each end with funtiure blankskets protecting the places the straps touched. Rented a moving truck with hydraulic lift gate then strapped it to fron of the truck with plenty of blankets and made sure it could not move fron, rear, right and left. No issues, cost about $100., have a couple of friends helped. Good luck. Tracy Trebuken 10-08-07, 04:29 PM Can't you remove the bulb(s) before moving it? Maybe not as easy as it sounds. Find a nice soft blanket to cover the screen and maybe wrap it in cardboard.... quaiboy 10-08-07, 07:35 PM I'd be more worried about the optics than the bulb and it's not like you can remove those. Other advice in the thread is good. I used cardboard, then the original packaging then a mattress boxspring underneath. ;-) Good luck. It can be nerveracking. -Evan |
