Please forgive me if this question has been asked or answered previously, as I searched tediously through all searches.
I recently purchased a SONY SXRD (KDS-50A2020). I also have a SA8300HD cable box from TimeWarner. I have attempted through every which way of configuring this to work with my HDMI cable (handshaking all combination, hot swapping inputs, etc. ) but to no avail. I have verified that the HDMI inputs work through a DVI-HDMI cable that worked properly. I have also verified that the HDMI cable in question works properly through a different SA8300HD on a Samsung 1080p. I consider myself fairly proficient in home theater/ electronics and need to solve this!! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

I'm 99% sure that it's something with the setup of the 8300HD. The problem is that there are about 3 completely different loads of software that the various cable companies use and exactly what you need to do depends on the software you have.

I don't know what area you're in nor what Time Warner tends to do. Your best bet is to go to the HDTV Recorders forum and post the question, but label it as "SA8300HD Time Warner in XXXX Problem" (where XXXX is your location) and ask the question there. Someone will probably know which software you have and can point you to the proper information for configuring it (there are thread dedicated to each software with tons of info in them).
