Hi,

I have had my mediagate for a while now but have only recently tried to network it with my pc via ethernet. Now im not very computer intelligent but i was able to set up a network within my house between a few computers. My Problem is that i cannot seem to find my computer on my mediagate everytime I switch it on it says something about disable and that it can't connect to a PC. When I have clearly connected the cable and gone through as many tutorials as i could find. If anyone has any dumbed down way of explaing how i could set this up step by step I would be very grateful.

Ok a few questions first,and I will try and help best I can..

What OS are you using? XP?

Have you "shared" out the drives you want to use , usinging "simple file sharing"

Have you checked your firewall is not blocking the connections?

Yes I am using XP Home.

And yes i am sharing out all my drives with simple file sharing.

And I'm not using a Firewall and i have disabled the windows one.

Are you connecting through a hub?

Try creating a Admin account with details:

user:media
pass:gate
