I have a few posts describing this issue, essentially I run cable from my wall to a 2 way splitter then one half to the cable box and on to the TV---the picture on this run this run is great. The other run goes from the splitter to the recorder and onto the tv via RCA jacks-red, white and yellow. Here is where the picture is lousy--no better with componet cable either. I have tried swapping out cables, boosters etc. etc. I have come to the conclusion that the panny's tuner just is not that great.....BUT............
I was watching a show using the dvd recorders tuner the other night while burning it at the same time at LP speed. Surprisingly the picture quality recorded seamed better when I palyed it back than that I saw when viewing it live! Maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me OR maybe the signal loss is coming from the connection from the dvd recorder to the tv. I am using decent cabling. Is there a way to boost the signal coming OUT of the recorder to the tv?
