TViX PVR M-5130SH

i just got this last night, i have only had a little play with it but came across some issues.

i believe there to be a problem with the audio.

playing ac3 files is perfect.

however whenever it plays mp3 it goes weird. by that i mean the volume stays constant no matter what volume you set on the remote.

also sound is crap. sounds like its being played within a tin can. (muffled and scratchy, and distorting)

this occurs during both avi files with mp3 and audio mp3 files.


i hope i have explained properly as i am new to all this.

i tested to see if it was my cables by attaching the unit by both hdmi cable and then component. audio was set to analog output. there was no difference either way.

these files also play on divx dvd standalone, without any problem.

therefore i have isolated the problem to the TViX PVR M-5130SH unit.

is this a bug? have i not set something up correctly? please help

i am also assuming that the 5130sh is almost the same as the 5100sh bar the pvr. so has anyone had this problem on the 5100sh??
