I have a reciever with all speakers connected to my 7.1 system in my family room. However I have speakers in my living room, across the house and want to use the same sources connected to my reciever.
Should I buy one of those speaker selectors? Will I lose quality? Which one should I buy?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Neil

What receiver? Depending upon the receiver, you may be able to assign the 6th and 7th channel amps to share double-duty which would automatically switch between 7.1 in the Main Zone OR powering a pair of Zone 2 speakers while still maintaining 5.1 sound in the Main Zone.
You could also use an inexpensive external amplifier like THIS (http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&Partnumber=300-956) or THIS (http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=300-812) to power the Zone 2 speakers.
