Did you ensure with Marantz that the warranty was valid? Good you got it at that price, ubid seemed to increase it to 1500. Secondact still have a few more left for cheaper.

Yep, that was me. I thought about 2nd Act, especially with the 20% off they have in the deals section, but for $1K it seemed too good to pass up. Warranty doesn't apply since I am shipping it to Australia.

Actually, I'm kicking myself a bit. Since the warranty doesn't apply I would have been quite happy with the refurb from Second Act for $125 less but I didn't see it when I checked before the end of the auction.

Oh well. I guess it pays to read all the way through these long threads at AVS.
