In your opinion what is the best simulcast HD channel?

Discovery is the simulcast channel, NOT HD Theater

Depends, but I would say USA has done the best job off the start with making sure they show everything in HD that's available, no distorting material, excellent quality.

Discovery by far on my Comcast service in Miami. However MLB playoffs on TBS look amazing.

According to the AVS programming guide, Comcast doesn't have Discovery HD. The Discovery in this poll is the simulcast version, NOT HD Theater (formerly known as Discovery HD Theater).

Keep this poll open till, say, 10/10. I don't have NGCHD nor NFL HD, so I don't want to vote until I get a chance to see it myself.

I vote for TBS-HD becuase they have the AL/NLDS in HD. I really shouldn't because they stretch Seinfeld and that's avail in HD syndication..

Discovery had cameras and cameramen that make the hd look crappy.

What is the definition of "best" here? Are we talking picture quality or HD content?

If we're talking HD content, ESPN/ESPN2 really has that locked up with the amount of HD they currently show.

However, with the right provider, Discovery has by far the best HD quality on the programs that are shown in HD.

Whatever your subjective opinion is. This is not a ranking of PQ or the amount of HD content on these channels. It's how important a particular channel is to you.

(Discovery has quit a bit of cropped and stretched, upconverted, or marginal HD from handheld cameras, but it seems to be a favorite. I guess people really like their Mythbusters and/or even after the name change quite a few people aren't aware that Discovery is a separate channel from HD Theater.)

Which is why I plan to ask this question again about a month from now. I have a feeling the results will be dramatically different when baseball is off TBS and USA/Sci-Fi have wider distribution.
