I can't seem to get the Maxtor Shared Storage II (which is DLNA compliant) to work with my PS3. I can see it on the PS3, but I can't see any files on the shared storage II. And it keeps saying 'media server disconnected'.

I can't seem to get the Maxtor Shared Storage II (which is DLNA compliant) to work with my PS3. I can see it on the PS3, but I can't see any files on the shared storage II. And it keeps saying 'media server disconnected'.

The Maxtor Storage II was coupled to a D-Link DSS-16+ switch which was also connected to a remote mini-hub where the xbox 360, PS3, and 802.11 access point was located. Well, I moved the Maxtor Storage II to a mini-hub where the PS3 is and it now seems to work.

I'm not sure if it is the mini-hub or the Ethernet switch that was causing the problem, but putting the PS3 & the Maxtor Storage II on the same mini-hub seemed to fix things.

Anyone have a clue as to why it didn't work before? The Ethernet switch breaking some DLNA chatter?
