I am currently using beyond TV to record OTA hd files as .tp files.
Then I use Wizd to stream to a JVC DVD100U with DVI out (Linkplayer2 clone).
This combo works well and allows me to playback dvd as .iso and has smooth playback of the HD files as well.
I now need to add another player. It will be connected via HDMI or component to a JVC 42" plasma running at 1024x768 (720P).
I will be only concerned with WIRED performance as wireless seems to be plagued with issues.
I need solid stable playback of HD files first, picture quality second...must look as good as this JVC's DVI out.
What models should I look for?
Do they work with Wizd or do I need to find new server software? If so which ones?

I have a very similar setup to you and I have spent the last year looking for a second network media player. About a month ago I purchased a second Linkplayer2 for $120 from CompUSA. IMHO there is nothing on the market yet that for the money is any better. A few NMP offer newer formats like h264 and mkv but they are expensive and have limitations that I am not willing to live with.
I continue to frequent this forum in the hope that in the next year or so a NMP based on the next generation sigma design chip will come out.
The TVIX4100 is close but it unfortunately is based on the current generation of sigma design chip and it has limitations regarding sharing root drives, the number of drives and so on.
The LimHD200i is very rough around the edges and has potential but again it is based on the current sigma design chip set. IMO it is not really ready to be on the market because so many basic things are not working yet and the number of defects per shipped units is rather high.

The D-Link DSM-520 will play HDTV files when the latest firmware (1.04) and the latest server software (1.09) are used and the .tp extension is renamed to .ts.
Have never used WIZD software so I couldn't tell you if this combo will work.
The DSM-520 has an HDMI interface and will output up to 1080i. The unit also has component output.

Wow ok it looks like I need to get the same player I already have! I think I paid a hefty price for it though...wonder if it's still available? Does your Linkplayer upconvert dvd's and if so what output handles that? Does it have component and will that equal my DVI to HDMI?

The Linkplayer2 does not upconvert and it uses D4 to component which is why the JVC unit costs more. My HDTV has upconverting built into it so up converting has never been an issue.

Quickstep is correct the LP2 does not up convert. The D4 to component cable works the same as component.

Do you have any issue with the display shifting to the right - more so for 720p than 1080i? I cant seem to get it centered using my dvi out.
