View Full Version : My MG-35 keeps blacking out

Hello. I'm a new member with a 6 month old MG-35 with a 500gb hdd that has been working great until recently. It keeps blacking out while I'm watching a divx on it. I've noticed the problem a couple months back, but it only happened once every few days. All I had to do was stop the movie, hit VIDEO a few times to switch it back to the correct output, and then continue to play the movie (I wish the video switcher would work during a movie, but it needs to be stopped). However, the issue has gotten much worse since and is now happening every few 10 minutes or so. I've tried upgrading to the latest GUI firmware, switching between S-VHS and composite, and changing video settings without any effect. I've emailed MediaGate support, but never received a reply back. If anybody have experienced a similar issue, I'd appreciate any tips! Thanks.

It could be many things.... but you may want to look here first...

1)Excess heat..

2)The crystal in your 350 may be going bad , see here for how to test / repair , if your unit is no longer under warranty..
