hello, im having a problem with my motorola DCT6416 III DVR.....

Ive had it for about 9/10 months and its worked fine, but now ive encountered a strange and frustrating problem and desperately need help...

- whenever I go to rewind or pause the channel im one, it dosent work, and the channel freezes, and i have to change the channel and then change back for that channel to work again (refresh the channel, as the previous recorded progress on the channel i was watching is erased).

- i cant record any program/channel at all, because the picture freezes.

- when i goto view any of my saved programs on my dvr, the screen turns black and i cant view them, and i cant fast forward, or pause, or control anything.


ive tried shutting off the cable box but that dosent do anything at all. this is a very frustrating problem for me, and i would REALLY REALLY REALLY appreciate it.

I just posted my 18 months experence with this unit on the thread for this model. Read it and, also, all the others about problems with it.

I just had this exact same problem happen to me...I know this thread is old...but can someone please point me in the right direction to help resolve this problem?

It's gotta be the WORST TIME for something like this to happen seeing all the great new shows are all starting THIS WEEK!! Damnit!!

Mine too. Just froze the screen. Sometimes will sit awaiting commands I've pushed on the remote. It will then shoot all of them at once! POS! Also if you notice the guide will have a lot of "to be announced" for the shows listed. Seems it wouldn't update the guide when this problem occurs!:mad:
