I really loved the way that D* had all the HD channels in one area in the 70's - 90's. It would be great if they had a duplicate channel lineup in the say 1200's but only for HD channels. So in effect, they would mirror the existing channels and but we could have easier browsing if we wanted just to watch the HD content. I have 3 HR20's and editing all those channel lists are a real pain. Just a thought from a longtime D* sub.

I use the HDTV Channel only Guide option.

Once they get the mapping stuff working right, it should matter. When you tune to a channel on an HD box, it should tune to the HD channel first. The only issue still to resolve is tuning up and down channel by channel brings up the SD channels. It's awefully hard to surf that way...

I customized one of my favorites for all the HD channels only! Man that was the best thing I ever did. Easy to brouse through all the HD channels quickly!

I've got 2 favorites lists:

1) "Normal" - All the channels I care about, SD versions of HD channels are removed
2) "HD Only" - Just the HD channels and nothing but the HD channels.

Both work great for me!

That is what I do and am getting used to it.

Now that DirecTV has a good amount of HD channels to choose from, I end up finding things on the new HD channels to watch :)

I did the same thing, but I can't choose the list easly... I must go to set up to recall the "all channels" list so that my wife can browse...
Is there a better and faster way to access and choose between favorite lists ?
