When the new season began I had not yet watched the Season 2 Blu-Ray, so I recorded it onto DVR to watch later. It took me a while to finally finish the second season and have since returned the DVR.

I don't normally post topics like this, but the cliffhanger ending to Season 2 is really hyping me up for this release. When does the new season end? Any estimates on when we'll see the Season 3 disc?

We'll see Season 3 probably in August before the start of Season 4. If not August, definitely no earlier than Mid-July... great cliffhanger that gets resolved in the first few eps, but Season 3 has sucked pretty badly IMO and is turning me off the show, which is too bad because season 1 and 2 were excellent.

That sucks. :( What aren't you liking about the new season? The plot?

Everything is off...the dialogue, characters and overall TONE of the show isn't what it used to be... maybe it'll be better on disc when you don't have a week in between to analyze the eps.

I agree S3 is weak. It hasnt been laugh out loud funny. But then again Curb is back on, and so is Always sunny, so I might be a little spolied.

It didnt help that they ended S2's story halfway into S3. felt like too much filler.(That army side story was pathetic)

I still love the show though.

I will admit to most of the first half being filler, a self-contained little mini-story, but I still love the show. It's still hilarious, definately laugh-out-loud at many points, and I don't think everything is dealt with yet. We're gonna get more into the Peter issue as the second half of the season goes on, and I think that'll get really interesting. I'm also happy to see they're bringing Conrad back into the mix a little more. His contribution to the show has been severely lacking.

Season 3 is awful. The storyline seems to be going nowhere. Everyone's acting out of character. And they're laying the politics on a little too thick.

I really liked Seasons 1 and 2, but unless they salvage things with the remaining episodes, I won't be adding this season to my collection.

I thought it's been okay so far. The story is FINALLY starting to pick up...

I agree with everyone who says season 3 does not live up to season 1 or 2. I hope the show takes a turn for the better soon. I also feel this way about Brotherhood but I have hope on that show.

Nancy makes a deal with a group of Latino drug dealers to protect her against another group of dealers that she pissed off. Problem is they set fire to their house which in turn leads to an unstoppable blaze that threatens to engulf the entire town. The season ends with Nancy intentionally setting fire to her house as she tells her late husband's spirit that she tried her best.

So Season 4 could literally go anywhere and there's no telling which(if any) of the supporting cast members will return.

My local Best Buy in Milford, MA had a few copies. It had 7.1 DTS-HD MA and was $30. I'm gonna wait to pick this up until it goes on sale.

I bought mine from Best Buy . com for $26.99 with in store pickup, after canceling the amazon.com order which hadn't been shipped even though I pre-ordered it months ago. I had a gift card to use anyway. I'll be playing some of it tonight.

The store I picked it up at is now sold out.

Doubtful. I can't believe it is going to take them that long to get stock in. This has happened a couple of times before where there were distribution problems surrounding a studios' titles. I would be surprised if Amazon didn't start shipping it out this week. I know they originally threw a July 1st date up there (which has since been removed), but there's just no way...

They did throw a notice up there saying it is a retailer-wide problem... which doesn't explain why Best Buy has plenty. Same thing happened back when WB had distribution problems awhile back - every other retailer came up empty, yet Best Buy had stock on the original street date.

Season 3 was weak. And on the last ep. I think they did what is often referred to as 'jumping the shark'.

Some of it's still funny as hell, so I'll wait for a hefty sale price for this one. Meanwhile if you want more TV on BD, pick up Mad Men as well.

They E-Mailed me a June 11th estimate, this morning!
This is, I believe the 4th of my past 7 Pre-Orders to be delayed (most with no voluntary notice.. I had to call or e-mail for an explanation!).

What has really irked me is that on a couple occasions, my 2-3month pre-orders were upended, yet folks I know, who ordered just before release date, received theirs in a timely fashion. :mad:

Couple this BS with the new NY Tax being charged, and I might as well pop down the road to my local shop. :D

I rented mine from Blockbuster. Turned it off after watching the first episode. I couldn't stand the wax faces DNR mess!

Netflix ended up sending S3D2 before S3D1, so I just acquired episodes 1-8 elsewhere. If I had gotten S3D1 on disc from Netflix or Blockbuster, I'd be very happy for how few discs it would take to watch the entire thing (both swapping the discs, and for how few rentals it would take). PQ/AQ aside, very rarely do you ever see distributors load up the discs like that! That would've been a godsend to have when I watched The Sopranos or Buffy/Angel on DVD!

Well they shipped mine out yesterday, so they say.

I am just watching it for the laughs... Not really worrying to much about the pic Q...
