View Full Version : Last DLC for Oblivion
fjtorres 10-10-07, 08:00 PM http://www.elderscrolls.com/downloads/updates_plugins_fightersstronghold.html
Coming Oct 15: Fighter's stronghold, a castle of your own, fully staffed with vintner, retainers, and guards.
One small catch: you have to defeat a small army to earn it.
Bring it on, marauders! ;-)
JuiceRocket 10-11-07, 02:15 AM Sounds awesome!
Now if only they could fix the dropping mechanic so you can actually place your goodies in a fashion that would allow them to be displayed on shelves and such.

Red Cell 10-11-07, 04:06 AM ohh yeah! sounds like a good reason to fire up Oblivion for s'more hackin & slashin!
I'll probably be picking this one up as well. Oblivion is the only 360 game where I got every achievement and gamerpoint. I played it to death so I'll probably enjoy this expansion as well. I doubt it will be on the scale of Shivering Isles or even Knights of the Nine, however.
KLUNKDM 10-11-07, 08:26 AM If it wasn't for all the new games I'm buying, I would open Oblivion (Bought it last Christmas) and play it. O Well maybe next year I will play it :) I will at lest get the free download :)
BOSS10L 10-11-07, 08:29 AM Damn, I just sold my copy a few weeks ago, figuring that there would be no more episodic content!

Well, its not the most accurate mechanic but with the hold button you can place stuff with some pretty good accuracy in the display cases. Bookcases are harder but mostly doable. Its just that some of the books are *big*.
I ended up using telekinesis to organize most of the weapons displays in the Skingrad mansion.

No, from the description its more of a cross between Mehrune's dagger and the Wizard's tower. I just hope the marauder army is in fact an army like the one in the Dagger add-in; it looks like you'll need an army's plunder to pay for upkeep of the castle.
Wouldn't want to lose it on unpaid taxes, would we? ;-)
bryansj 10-11-07, 09:46 AM Looks to me like it is just the Fighter's version of Thieve's Den and Wizard's tower. You kill off a few things to clear out the castle and then it is yours. About 5 to 10 minutes of action. If that is the case then maybe it will only be 150 points like the others.
the red worm 10-15-07, 12:39 PM this came out today, free content and only available for one week to download after that it's history
do yourself a favor and keep your copy of Oblivion alive
bryansj 10-15-07, 12:58 PM It won't be history after a week, just not free.
the red worm 10-15-07, 01:09 PM oh, well basically the same, who's gonna pay for it when it was first free?
WilliamR 10-15-07, 01:13 PM Oh freaking sweet ass sweet. Man, I just put Oblivion in this weekend to play some again, now there is something new to explore and do. LOVE IT!
Wow, great news! I'm gonna DL it tonight!
JuiceRocket 10-15-07, 01:49 PM Fantastic. I love how the team has really kept Oblivion alive with all of these extra packs. Great stuff!
