.....slow down your Live connection. Cox Communications was out today and installed a new modem and hooked up the VOIP. All day my Live connection seemed slow. Marketplace stuff loaded slowly and I couldn't even move my player around in Team Fortress. Is there a connection or am I just being paranoid about it?

Well I have had vonage for years now I never had it slow my connection down. Try unhooking the Voip, doing a speed test, Hooking Voip back up, Do it again.

Its possible the tech changed some QoS settings and put a lower priority for your 360. I've had vonage and since switched to packet8 due to fear that vonage will be gone within a year from everyone suing them left and right. I've never had any slow down issues with either service.

Is there a way to test the connection speed on the 360 itself?

No. You will have to use a computer hooked up to the same network. I have VOIP and I haven't really noticed. It does effect my uploads when my wife is on the phone but not enough to cause me noticeable lag. I would do like suggested. Run a test with the phone hooked up and then not hooked up.
