We need more information. What are you using to convert HDMI to RGB? There are cards available for the G70 that can do this and there are external box solutions. If you don't own either of these, then you must start there.

I have no idea if CAT5 will transmit an HDMI signal. I know I wouldn't want to do this, even were it possible.

There are some devices that convert signals, from analog to digital into cat5 or even fibre and then back again - Geffen make some effective ones.

Depending on your sources there are many ways of doing this - as Alan mentioned, you might have a HDFury converting the signal from HDMI -> RGB, or you might have a VP doing it - there are lots of ways, each with their own pros/cons.

Kind regards

I tried the Gefen HDMI to CAT6 and back converter. It didn't work with the HDFury.

Forget the cables you have and run a new 5 BNC cable to the projector and use an external scaler, or at least run 3 new cables to the projector and plug the component output of the source to the projector.

Dont be weary. You dont have to open any thing to install the Moome card just remove a plate on the back and it plugs right it. So the moome card would be better for sure and you'll get full 1080p to your projector from blu-ray and Hd-Dvd players.

Yeah, don't sweat installing the Moome card. it is literally plug and play. You will have to set the jumper on the card for the correct power configuration, but it is the easiest thing ever. Then I just turned off the main power to my G70 and slid the card in. Turned it on, warmed it up and Voila! HD, Blu ray, everything else out of the scaler No hiccups at all.

Now your only problem is finding one.

Why? This is the most elegant, well-integrated way of sending a digital signal into the PJ. One you fit the new card, you can use a CAT5 HDMI extender directly into the card.

Definitely DO NOT BE WEARY of putting in a Moome card. If he was selling a crappy product people would not send him money months in advance or stand in line to get one and I myself would not have bought 3 of his cards (one for a D50, one for a G70 and one for a 1272). It slides in easier than putting toast in my toaster. GO FOR IT

where i put the moome?

Remove the "REMOTE 1" card - the card that is at the left in the picture that you attached. The Moome cards fits right in there.

FYI- I have a spare Moome DVI card (first gen, 2006) that was in my G70 that I'm looking to part with. Been sitting on a shelf for months. PM me.
