Last couple of days while playing NHL08, my Xbox has completely froze up, I know the RROD is coming very soon my question is this. I replaced the front faceplate witha silver faceplate to match my HT decor and I cannot find the orginal faceplate. Will MS still take the 360 back for repiar even if the orginal plate is not on it?

It may not be the RROD, but rather bad copies of the game on older 360 drives. Are you just getting frozen, or disc read errors. Is you disc scratched up, when it was not previoulsy scratched?

It happens once in a while , I checked the disc no scratches at all and I get no error what so ever it just locks. If I do have to send it back, will they take it with the silver faceplate?

they'll tell you to just remove any faceplates you have on it if you are sending it back to MS. i'm not sure for store returns
