Its looking like transformers is barely going to be at the distributors by its original street date. I just sent my online source an email and told them that if they do not have they're shipment in by Monday then cancel it and I will purchase it locally. If you have it on order with the following

DVDpacific: 2 day shipping, if they have it tomorrow then you would have it by its release date, if not you may want to think about picking it up locally, overnight, we need this movie to arrive to them by Monday the latest or why bother paying a higher price and the overnight shipping?, go get it locally

Amazon: Forget it, if others are slow receiving this title then so is amazon, prime members might see it by the mid part of next week if it lands tomorrow, super-saver shipping, forget it you will be looking at November on this one..

I will call them (dvd pacific) tomorrow and see if it arrives, if not why pay more and miss the street date go get it locally.

amazon has mine listed as shipping on the 16th and set to arrive the 17th

Sorry wrong, retailers are already receiving shipments. It's a big release, sometimes studios like to ship them out closer to street date. DVDE is probably being penalized for too many advanced shipments of releases previously.

Interesting how people get so upset when movies DONT ship before street date......and how its the vendor's fault stock hasnt been received either...

Wow. I see that they tried to exercise the Japanese concept of packaging minimalism, and failed miserably.

The thing looks as if their printers ran out of ink, or someone accidentally turned off some layers in Photoshop.

I had 2nd day and still didnt have a confirmation as of about 3 hours ago, so I cancelled. Ive got it on order from Amazon as well via next day, so I guess ill wait and see.

I pretty much agree with Josh's review. I would like to add to his comments about the grain in the darker scenes - I very specifically remember I saw the same thing in the theatre. Most noticable I believe is the night scene where bumble bee first transforms and reveals himself in the junkyard. I believe this transfer merely mimics the original. Just absolutely stunning. I remember in the theatre that all the details in the bots were just so overwhelming on the screen that it became a bit of a blur to me. But watching this on my home setup, all mechanical details and transformations were extremely sharp. All robotic detailing simply stood out. I am still in awe thinking how much computing and man power it took to have done that.

As for AQ...simply put, the DD+ rocked. Again, I agree with Josh's comments. I hate to complain...but I think Vendetta and the Matrix set is SLIGHTLY more detailed in the sound department. Of course...with TrueHD. But, it can all just be in my head :o

Mine shows shipping the 16th, but I pre-ordered the day it opened for pre-orders (Sept. 8), so maybe if you ordered it later, it ships later depending on the # they are expected to get in by the 16th?

Mine just shipped now from dvd pacific with fedex shipping to Ireland.

I recieved a shipping confirmation yesterday(2-day ship) from Pacific but had no tracking number or who the carrier is. My first order with them, does anyone know which company they use for shipping or if they even send a tracking number?
