Just posting a quick message to see if anyone here has any more insight into which Xbox lots are coming with the smaller CPU. News just broke about the 'Jasper' coming out in '08 with a smaller (65 nm) CPU and GPU. Currently, there is speculation that Xbox's with lot number 0734 *could* have the smaller CPU.

The '"insiders" are reporting that the smaller die size is significantly reducing the overheating problems thus providing a more stable system. In addition, when "Jasper" rolls, it will be marked by another price drop by MS since the 65 nm CPU/GPU will be cheaper to manufacture. "Jasper" is also going to have a mobo redesign as well.
