I did a search, but couldn't find any help on this issue, any help peoples??

Last night, having tired of not being able to play videos anymore because of the 520's sucky 1.04 firmware, I tried to downgrade to version 1.01.

Put the appropriate files on a usb flash drive, stuck it in the front......beautiful.......updating software message.....updating......updating..........

beautiful. "Update complete, unit will now restart itself"........and then........nothing!!

The unit turns on, the power lights shine all nice and bluey, but the tv screen is blank, like it's not getting a signal.

The unit is connected to the tv from the component video jacks.

Is it possible that the firmware has changed the video settings for the output to be maybe through the composite jacks, or HDMI jacks?

I can try that when I get home.

Other than that, any suggestions, or am I now the proud owner of a BRICK:mad::mad::p

I believe others have seen this problem. When you change firmware it defaults to the non-HDMI output. Cycle through the outputs using the remote and see if you get a picture.
