Dave_6 10-12-07, 04:06 PM Mine shipped too, but not from them. Ergoguy34 10-12-07, 04:10 PM This figures I ordered it from HDmoviesource cause it looked like DVD pacific was late in receiving it and now they both have a shipped conformation status, looks like I have 2 copies here for Monday.. slcsnkman 10-12-07, 04:11 PM Mine shipped too, but not from them. +1 :) delrmx01 10-12-07, 04:21 PM I'm jealous ...... I should've ordered from that place ... Dave_6 10-12-07, 04:24 PM +1 :) Just hope I get it tomorrow...:D:eek: nickoakdl 10-12-07, 07:06 PM So you guys payed the upcharge just to get it a day in advance? Snickering Hound 10-12-07, 09:28 PM Mine shipped today by priority mail. joerod 10-12-07, 11:15 PM Come on Amazon, give us at least one title early! Ergoguy34 10-12-07, 11:18 PM Actually I just got an email from HDmoviesource stating that I WILL have mine tomorrow, impressive Saturday delivery... Bleddyn H Williams 10-12-07, 11:33 PM I preordered from DVD Planet, but if they don't ship by Monday, I'm going to cancel - I don't have to have this on release day, but I definitely want it by the weekend. Its disappointing that they haven't shipped already, but sounds like Paramount was late in sending out product. Helvetian 10-12-07, 11:34 PM Come on Amazon, give us at least one title early! I did overnight, it says the 16th but I hope they ship on Mon. I just paid $79 for Prime for 99% HD DVD purchases, and now they don't even seem to ship to arrive on release. I'll even pay $3.99 for each title to get here, Oh well looking like a Wednesday arrival. If my order doesn't ship, I'll just do the $5.99 for same day delivery on Tuesday. slcsnkman 10-12-07, 11:39 PM Actually I just got an email from HDmoviesource stating that I WILL have mine tomorrow, impressive Saturday delivery... same here..left NY this morning LugNutX 10-17-07, 06:37 PM Has anyone received theirs via Priority Mail from DVD Pacific? I wrote to cancel an order on Thursday, got ZERO response and then saw my order had mysteriously been "shipped" on Friday...meaning I could no longer request a cancellation. It's almost as if someone saw the email and changed the status just so I couldn't request it. I found it fairly insulting, because the order didn't actually ship until Monday or Tuesday (depending on which tracking site you check). On top of that, the priority mail is $3.99 on their site plus $0.99 for each additional item. My first complaint is that they consider this release a "2 item" package. How that extra disc in the box can cost them an extra $.99 is beyond me and fairly ridiculous. My second complaint is that somehow $3.99 + .99 adds up to $5.97 in Florida, because that's what I was charged. Not to mention that because its less than 1lb, it got shipped First Class instead of Priority. I GUARANTEE that it costs them less than that to ship First Class, so I feel as if I was really ripped off twice. As of today, I still haven't received the disc in the mail and I'm pretty disappointed - as I could have picked it up at the local Best Buy or Circuit City yesterday for a few dollars less. What am I paying for again?? I have half the mind to return it and take the store credit for something else I wasn't waiting on. rboster 10-17-07, 06:49 PM There is a long thread on their first class/priority mail policy in Blu Ray. It's an interesting read. CoasterGeorge 10-17-07, 06:57 PM I have the exact same issue, they supposedly sent out the disc on Friday but I still haven't received it. If I check the delivery confirmation # via endicia, their mailing service, it says it was sent on 10/15. If I pop the same # into the USPS tracking it says 10/16. Their customer service is hostile and basically maintains that it'll take 2-5 days although they mail out from Coral Springs, FL on all the titles I've received before and it usually takes a day for me to get them. Last time I'll do any business with them, at least with Amazon I know I'm getting the product and I've never had an issue with timeliness from them. I pre-ordered Transformers and the estimated delivery date was Oct 24-26! I was worried about this, so I considered getting AMAZON PRIME for the 2nd Day shipping! Well I didn't. I just couldn't justify it. As most of my disc I buy on Amazon are used, sold buy 3rd party vendors. No 2nd day option with prime! Today I got a pleasant surprise in the mail! My copy arrived! Numanoid101 10-17-07, 07:04 PM Amazon Prime has paid for itself many times over for me. This Christmas I'm going to save a bundle as I make a lot of holiday purchases off of Amazon. LugNutX 10-17-07, 07:07 PM Good to know it's not just me. The thread in the Blu-Ray subforum seems to indicate that they lost a lot of business from several folks there too. I was interested in the early shipping, but even if it didn't go out until Monday or Tuesday - I have an issue with their ridiculous shipping practices. Some guys there have reported 9 to 11 days to receive something via "priority". I'll probably buy the disc at a local store tomorrow, and either return or sell the one from Pacific. They've definitely lost any additional business from me. Having something early is nice, but having something on (or near) release day is a REQUIREMENT. |
