View Full Version : Disney BOGO also at Target cawgijoe 10-13-07, 08:55 AM Just got the ads for Sunday and the BOGO sale also applies at Target....for whatever they have in stock Disney-wise. JaylisJayP 10-13-07, 09:14 AM where'd you see the circular? cawgijoe 10-13-07, 12:43 PM where'd you see the circular? In the ads from the Washington Post. We get them on Saturday because the paper delivery person doesn't want to haul too much on Sunday. Everyone should see the same ad in Sunday's paper across the country. GizmoDVD 10-13-07, 12:50 PM Looks like they are trying to take down Transformers this week. Interesting. MySassyGirl 10-13-07, 12:59 PM I was at Fry's and I heard they'll be doing the disney BOGO as well. jaewon 10-13-07, 01:07 PM It certainly does look like they're trying to do some damage control. And it seems to be working. There were probably about 10 people gathered around the blu-ray section and zero in the HD DVD section at Fry's yesterday. Also, the blu-ray section is twice as large than the HD DVD section. I've never seen Fry's lean towards a format until yesterday. This was the one located in Pomona, CA. Dreamwriter 10-13-07, 01:07 PM Um, excuse me for not knowing this, but...BOGO? Anything like the old comic strip Pogo? chaarlieee 10-13-07, 01:08 PM So this deal is for ANY Disney movies that are in stock? Nice. jaewon 10-13-07, 01:08 PM Buy One Get One Free yellowlt4 10-13-07, 02:03 PM I was at Fry's and I heard they'll be doing the disney BOGO as well. The Austin Fry's actually had the signs printed up and ready to go for the Sunday sale. The sign I was shown had about 20 discs listed, the ones I remember are: POTC 1 POTC 2 GI Jane Flightplan Wildhogs Deja Vu The Prestige The Look Out Apocalypto Reign of Fire King Arthur Annapolis Gone in 60 Seconds The Guardian Pearl Harbor JaylisJayP 10-13-07, 02:04 PM i assume Best Buy would match THIS deal, not just the titles they selected for part of the deal. OhioMike 10-13-07, 05:25 PM All titles are the same at every store offering the deal (based on what they have in stock of course) ALL BUENA VISTA TITLES!! It's a great deal..especially with Fry's offering all of those Sony titles @ $10. thestaton 10-13-07, 05:44 PM wow. I'm picking up the POC's, Deja Vu & something else. California Joe 10-13-07, 05:47 PM What's with everyone one doing BOGOs at the same time. GizmoDVD 10-13-07, 06:02 PM It certainly does look like they're trying to do some damage control. 10 people...2 familys, right? If there really were 10 here, and 20 here, then 15 over at this store like everyone likes to claim then Blu-ray would be selling 10:1 over HD DVD. I love when people like to embellish. j1000 10-13-07, 08:13 PM FYI this deal is going on at target, best buy and Frys this week. gtgray 10-14-07, 01:44 AM i assume Best Buy would match THIS deal, not just the titles they selected for part of the deal. Don't assume anything with Best Buy. You may get them to match. I got one store to match Fry's BOGO. The other store the manager tolally blew me off. After waiting around for 40 minutes I got his name handwritten on a piece of paper with 1-800-Best Buy... he could have given a sh*t less. I don't know what is with BB but they really suck. So I left the BB and drove to Fry's and spent $150. I will go to CC tomorrow. I have to take a defective tuner card back for a swap. BB does not carry squat in a lot of categories. I really don't like Sony much, but I hate BB. It is sad because there is a store with in 5 minutes of my house it would be so convenient... they are always such a waste. I always give them a chance and they never seem to want to the biz. I spend big buck too. F... them! If you don't want to bend over they don't want your biz. gtgray 10-14-07, 01:48 AM What's with everyone one doing BOGOs at the same time. Aint it obvious.. they want to drown Transformers on HD DVD in the video scan numbers.. Megalith 10-14-07, 01:57 AM Are the prices on the Target website accurate to the store's actual prices? Rieper 10-14-07, 02:30 AM Who cares what their "agenda" is. All I know is we are getting some sweet deals on BOGO all over town. Yippee-kiyah-muthaf*! Garman 10-14-07, 03:06 AM Are the prices on the Target website accurate to the store's actual prices? Just to clarify CC pricing in there flyer today that you need to buy 2 to get one free.... Looks like Target is the better route.... JaylisJayP 10-14-07, 09:20 AM Are the prices on the Target website accurate to the store's actual prices? No, Target uses Amazon for their online prices, but more like Best Buy prices for their store. Tarheel72 10-14-07, 10:45 AM I was going to BB to get my deals but Target opened at 8 AM ao I slid over there. None of the deals are marked, and the sales people are clueless as to what is and is not on sale. ANd they only had about half of the titles that BB had advertised. But I think it is pretty much the same list as BB. Fry's is by far the best B&M store if you ask me. Clearly labeled, no hassles. Not sure if they will sell individual movines at $15 or if you do have to buy one to get one. On the other deals at Fry's this weekend, you can buy singles at $10 each, and they are labeled like that in the store. But in the ad on Friday I think it said 2 for $20, inplying you had to buy them in pairs. They always seem to do that, as it was the same way in the past on similar sales. Rich Peterson 10-14-07, 01:23 PM I was going to BB to get my deals but Target opened at 8 AM ao I slid over there. None of the deals are marked, and the sales people are clueless as to what is and is not on sale. I just got back from my local Target and pretty much the same story. But worse, they were out of both the Pirate movies and there was only one copy of two of the more popular titles included in the sale so they'll soon be gone also. Wonder if they more to restock? BTBuck1 10-14-07, 01:29 PM Best Buy Matches Prices, not "Offers" I know if they have a situation where you buy this Camera and they throw in a 1gb mem card, Best Buy doesn't have to do it. I am not sure on a deal like this, I am assuming they would do it, especially since they are also doing a BOGO this week already (albeit with diff titles). jaewon 10-14-07, 02:10 PM 10 people...2 familys, right? If there really were 10 here, and 20 here, then 15 over at this store like everyone likes to claim then Blu-ray would be selling 10:1 over HD DVD. I love when people like to embellish. I was there for only 15 minutes or so and i DID see at least 10 people gathered around the blu-ray section. Does it mean that everyone purchased a blu-ray? Does it also mean that it will continue to be like that all day for the rest of the week? No. I was just stating that the BOGO is attracting a lot of people. I think you need to be a little less touchy on my harmless post... NickFoley 10-14-07, 02:14 PM Yeah, I can assume why he's getting so defensive over your post. catmonv 10-14-07, 07:45 PM Don't assume anything with Best Buy. You may get them to match. I always give them a chance and they never seem to want to the biz. I spend big buck too. F... them! If you don't want to bend over they don't want your biz. This is very true. It happened to me before that when I went to BB for the very first time with the frys ad , It took them 15 minutes for them to match it. It seemed like it was the manager's discretion. After 1 month, I came back to the very same store for price matching for frys ad, different manager told me that they do not price match frys ad. I told them that they did one lastmonth. Reply was, manager made a mistake. So I went to CC, whoa, no questions asked and they gave me a plus 10% discount of the price diferrence (i think incident happened in either aug or sept). Last friday, I just got 9 titles for $10 dollars each. Today, after seeing todays (sunday) ad. It says BOGO for potc1, potc2, apocalypto, pearl harbor, prestige, and wild hogs (and says plus 20 more titles). I was curious go i again dropped at frys at 11AM, hmmmm, all the movies that are in BB ad are on sale for $13.50 which is cheaper than BB $15. Whoa, i bought 10 movies. When i was on my way driving home, wtf, i forgot to buy the chicken little and eight below. So, ok, there ya go, i had to go to BB again to buy these titles at $29.99 at BOGO. When the cashier rung the titles, she told me bill is $64++. Wtf, i told her this is BOGO, she just pressed something then turned out the real price of $32++. It seemed like the cashier knew it that these titles are BOGO at $29.99, but would not give it to you if you dont ask for it. So that is 2 bad buying incidents at BB re: bluray. So next time, go to frys first, second CC, then BB? duh, i dont think so. joerod 10-14-07, 07:48 PM Looks like I will have to hit a target... bassmonkeee 10-14-07, 08:12 PM 10 people...2 familys, right? If there really were 10 here, and 20 here, then 15 over at this store like everyone likes to claim then Blu-ray would be selling 10:1 over HD DVD. I love when people like to embellish. I was at Fry's Electronics today and I had a hard time getting to the Blu-Ray section since there was about 12 people grabbing discs (in addition to two or three people just standing around watching the new Fantastic Four movie). One guy with his 2 kids, but everyone else was single dudes who obviously weren't related. And, a coupe of the guys were talking about heading to Best Buy next to grab some movies that were already sold out at Fry's (Dracula, for one). I'm sorry if you have a hard time believing that, but I couldn't care less. Believe what you want. |
