Hi

I have a Samsung 5054 Plasma TV. I have a wife that loves guitar hero (GH) on PS2 which has underscan (side black bars), myself who loves wii (most games have some underscan with side black bars), and of course we watch lots of TV that comes in several different formats. I am looking for a device that gives me greater adjustment capability. I want to be able to stretch the screen horizontaly(H) and/or vertically(V) to eliminate black bars. Something similar to the settings on computer monitors where you can stretch the H and V to make the image fully fill the screen To describe it another way, when I play wii or GH the rectangular picture has 1" black bars on the left and right. I want to be able to stretch that rectangle so that it gets wider and not taller to move the black bars out of the viewing area.

I have heard that an Iscan Ultra might help with this but I can't find much info on that.

So my questions are:
1.Is there any device that I can run my inputs through that can do this?
2. If not is there a device that maybe does not do it quite as I have described but is effective at removing underscan (black bars)?

Any suggestions would be helpful; I am becoming a disappointed plasma owner.

I did a quick search on google using " wii output aspect ratio" and it looks like you need to use the component output to get the correct 16:9 aspect ratio on your plasma.

Do another search substituting ps2 for wii and you will probably get your answer for the ps2 as well.

appreciate it bro, I actually have component cables and it still is causing black bars.
