A friend who works in the movie business told me about studiodepot.com. They sell clapboards to the movie studios. I'm always looking for original props to decorate my media room. On their website go to site map; they even sell illuminated clapboards.

Bargain hunter that I am, I found the same lucite clapboard mentioned in my previous post at lightsonretail.com for considerably less money. The same clapboard is being sold at a well known home theater website for nearly twice the price.

I ordered the lucite clapboard from lightsonretail.com. I will review their service and quality of clapboard.

I received the lucite clapboard from lightsonretail.com yesterday. It was well packed in bubble wrap and it really looks great on the wall between two gold film reels. I used velcro to attach it to the wall. I will post pictures when I get a chance.

Although it's not "real", I did like the clapboard my wife got me last year. It's made out of plastic, but, it's much larger than what most dealers are selling. This one is pretty big as you can see next to my 10" popcorn tub and mini air popper! (AND THE dvd IN FRONT)
i LIKE IT! :)
