Is anyone else having trouble playing American Psycho on their PS3? I watched it once all the way through a month or two ago, with firmware 1.82 on the PS3. In the meantime, I've since updated to firmware 1.93, the latest. Last night, when I was trying to watch it again, the disc will start fine, you'll get the LionsGate Logo, and then after that the standard warning banners, but instead of going into the menu it just stays a black screen. There is no way for me to get into the film at all.

Casino Royale and The Departed still work just as well as they did before. If anyone else has a PS3 with the latest firmware and a copy of American Psycho, I would REALLY appreciate it if you could try this out and report your results.

Thanks in advance.

Just checked on mine, and it plays perfectly. Might be something wrong with your disc.

Check out your disc. I hope we don't have another problem like some had with The Prestige with disc rot. Hopefully its just a pet hair or fingerprint. Which version of the PS3 are you dealing with?

I cant get POTC: Curse Of The Black Pearl to play on my PS3.I've already returned 2 copies of this movie and the PS3 firmware updates havent fixed this problem.

I've got the 60GB PS3 (the one with the EE and full backwards compat). I've already looked at the disc, and I can't see any spots on it like the photos I saw previously of "disc rot". There are definitely no hairs or scratches on the disc either.

As I said, I've had this for about 2 (going on 3) months now, so Best Buy has refused to exchange it. Is there any further course of action for something like this? Being told to just bite the bullet and throw down another 19-25 bucks on something that I played ONCE due to no fault of my own is insane.

Thanks again for all replies.
