Well.. it's the first one I've seen anyway, OXM gave it a 10 and has a 5 page write up on the game. I know it's OXM but that's pretty darn good for a sequel that is totally reworked in a different era. It also says 4 player split screen and 18 people on LIVE or system link.

I can't wait. Halo 3 is the game that I will be playing split-screen multiplayer, but COD4 will take up most of my personal online multiplayer time.

I have not played a game online this addicting since the first two SOCOM's. Of course it was so addicting since it was the first online shooter I had ever played LOL. I played that thing day and night!!!! I can't wait for COD4

Is there going to be vehicles in multiplayer in cod4 because once they said there was going to be vehicles in cod3 i knew the online would suck for it and it did.

so hopefully there are no tanks or anything like that in multiplayer and if there is there should only be 1 tank and if it blows up it should not come back

I played the beta and man it was a blast.The game took me back to the days when I was playing CS hardcore as it definitely reminded me of an "upgraded," but more casual version of Counter-Strike.

To answer the question about vehicles, in the beta after X amount of kills without dying, you have the ability to respawn as a helicopter. Pretty cool feature IMO. The helicopter wasn't too overpowered either.

You don't actually respawn as a helicopter. You can call in an a radar spot, an attack chopper to back up your team or an airstike after so many kills in a row without dying. You're right, it's a great feature but I liked the multiplayer vehicles in CoD3 and wouldn't mind some on bigger maps in CoD4.

Radar at 3 kills, air strike at 5, helicopter at 7.

Yeah but they were also supposed to have an AC-130 gunship you can call in also, I know it wasnt in beta but I wonder if its still in there?

Getting a game was a bitch, no one would ever be online to play with. Don't see that as being a problem this time around. Hopefully Treyarch learns from this.

I recall many worried folks around here and elsewhere when Activision and IW announced their intention to leave behind WWII and create a modern warfare game. I realize this is only one review but I suspect those folks can relax a bit now.

I guess i am the only person who is not excited about this game. It was a little too close combat for my liking. I guess i am spoiled with Battlefield, i prefer the bigger maps and more strategy..... like having to crouch to shoot more accurate....

co-op will not be in the initial release, it's rumored to be DLC.
