Mine hasn't brought home an HD or BD disc yet, but she calls if she runs across a movie she thinks we'll like and it's in various formats. She always gets the big "I love you so much" or "damn you're cool" from me.:D

I think mines pretty cool after 2 50in Panasonic plasmas and a XA2 and Panasonic BD player in less then 6 months.

I got lucky too. I have a wife who knows my players, appreciates the diff between SD and HD and only buys BD/HD DVD when she can for me. I told her not to get me the Pirates 3 DVD for Xmas this year and she looked at me and said

"Did you really think I would you anything but Hi Def???" :D, I love here :D

My girlfriend is amazing too. For my birthday she bought me HD DVDs of Hustle and Flow and Black Snake Moan, which I both loved. She also buys almost nothing but HDM now, and is super excited about buying Transformers next week.

...Not to mention she bought me the HD DVD add-on for the 360 last Christmas. I'm hanging on to her for sure!

I was in utter shock and amazement. Who would have thought my wife would become an audiophile?:o

Not got the soon-to-be-wife fully HD trained up ( yet ;) ) but she gets big brownie points for agreeing for the living room to be accoustically treated ( IE bass traps in all corners and treatments all over the walls ) :cool:

I know this has nothing to do with HDDVD, but my wife got me two Polk Monitior 50's and a CS1 center for 250 bucks cause my CC is closing. And I sent her there for movies!!!!!

I'm slowly educating my wife on the new formats. It's good that she can tell the difference between dvd and HD-dvd as far as PQ goes. The only thing I could add on this thread is that she totally dressed up our home theater with some kickass blackout curtains for the window and velvet drapes for the front screen. And she was able to program my Harmony 880 to make it easier for her and the kids. Now that's a wife! :)

My wife is very informed also. She called and told me when Paramount went exclusive! She's been begging me to buy Knocked Up ever since it came out, but didn't complain when I got it for $15 at CC today!

Mine is almost that good. She won't go and buy stuff without me (because she knows I labor over this stuff and she has no interest in learning about it), but decided that our anniversary present to each other this year should be an Onkyo TX-NR905. Ha ha, funny story......my wife asked me last night if we can watch the Transformers HD-DVD in the bedroom (which only has a SD-DVD player) and I said "your not really that ignorant are you?" She looked offended so I then told her "your married to me, and I thought that I have talked about and educated you enough about HD media." and she tells me "you think I actually listen to you". LOL.
