Sports movies can bring realistic action, honest flavors of what goes on behind the scenes, and even elements of real history. For team sports, in terms of overall believability and accessability, how would you say they stack up (not thinking of children's films)?
Titles I'm aware of are "Any Given Sunday", "Hoosiers", "North Dallas Forty", "Blue Chips", "Remember The Titans", "The Rookie", "Invincible", "Coach Carter", "Rudy", "Glory Road", "Slapshot", "Friday Night Lights", "A League Of Their Own", "Miracle", "We Are Marshall", Grid Iron Gang", "Major League". (No doubt there are others that focus on team sports!)
So a possible ranking might be:
A League Of Their Own (RT 84/83)
Friday Night Lights (RT 82/86)
Hoosiers (RT 92/88)
Miracle (RT 79/78)
North Dallas Forty (RT 85/-)
Slapshot (RT 86/-)
Remember The Titans (RT 72/68)
Rudy (RT 79/75)
Major League (RT 85/-)
We Are Marshall (RT 49/44)
Coach Carter (RT 64/59)
Invincible (RT 70/58)
Blue Chips (RT 47/-)
Any Given Sunday (RT 48/56)
Grid Iron Gang (RT 43/33)
What changes in ranking would you make (based on quality of film content, not RT %)?
