Dears

I'm Panasonic 42"PV60H user in Hong Kong. I have a screen issue for my Plasma panel, I want to find out what's going on for it.

Symptom:
I saw a light red color pattern on my screen left lower side, approx 1" width and 12" long vertically. It is not obvious, but in pure color, say white color background to color comes out obviously.

When I turning off the panel, the light red color pattern also can see there. Anyone encounter this problem for plasma panel? I thought it is not the (Burn-in) symptom, am I right? because that color not a text pattern & not a specific pattern, just like some Liquid from up side floating to lower side.

Thank you every one.

Column address drivers or panel bad in that section. Usually panel bad on Panasonic.

Oh no!!.... Is it this symptom comes out often for panasonic panel? I'm really disappointed for this issue, this panel only bought for 4 months & less than 2 operating hours per day.

Call Panasonic and have it serviced. Since you have owned it for only four months, it is still covered under their free Owner Service Coverage. If you bought it new, then they will have to repair it or replace it for you. Good luck.:)

Thank you

I'm worried about that, it is out of warranty terms. Anyway I've been called Panasonic for maintenance service.

Burn-in is where you leave a stationary bright image in one place on screen for a long time. Like a channel logo, the words "game over" from game, the QVC channel. Then the phosphor is warn out at that spot and you can always see it.

So... Can I see that (logo) after I turning off the panel?

Thank you for everyone reply

My panel inspected by Panasonic yesterday. & confirmed isn't the panel problem, it is caused by the front glass defect.

Technician said, this model TH42-PV60H with few case had the same symptom, which glass coating between the Plasma panel & the protection front glass have chemical variation. So caused the light red shadow inside the panel.
