View Full Version : HDMI Problem with Panasonic TH-42PX6U?

Hi there, I'm not sure if my HDMI issue is with my Onkyo TX-SR575 receiver or with my Panasonic TH-42PX6U plasma from Costco. About two weeks ago, the HDMI picture started going out. The issue would still be out if I switched from HDMI 1 to HDMI 2 on my TV. The picture would be fine if I switched to component inputs though.

I switched HDMI cables and had the same result.

Yesterday I started running HDMI directly from my cable box to the TV to see if the problem persists. So far it hasn't, but that doesn't mean it won't.

I'm not sure if it's related, but three times in the past month my tv has shut off on its own, and I've had to unplug/replug it to get it to turn on again.

So is this more likely my receiver or my TV (or both)?

Thanks for your help; I'll be posting this in the receiver forum as well.

IMO I would get your TV looked at. It shouldn't shut down on it's own and not come back on unless you pull the plug in and out. You could have a power supply problem on the Panny.
