Can anyone let me know what they widescreen modes are on the PDP-6010FD and how it looks vs. other plasmas? I dislike it when "stretching" of the picture happens. I was hoping there was a mode on there that kind of tones down the strecthing effect. Sorry for the news question and thanks in advance for answering!

Sorry for the news question and thanks in advance for answering!I presume the 6010FD has the same stretch modes as the 5060HD and 5070HD etc and if so, here's a thread pertaining to those TVs with pictures of the SD stretch modes and the fewer HD stretch modes that may be useful:

4:3 Material
Wide (Progressive strecth), Full (uniform stretch), cinema (my prefered option)(minimal horizontal stretch and crops off some at the top and bottom) zoom (no strecthing but excessive cropping on all sides) and 4:3 (no formatting/gray bars on the sides)
I might be forgetting one here.

16:9 Material
full (no stretching), dot-by-dot (no streching and no overscan on 1080i/p material only) and some others that i don't know why you'd ever use them.
