Hey,
Over at Amazon, Pirates of the Caribean: Dead Man's Chest on Blu Ray is outselling Transformers HD DVD currently followed by Pirates of the Caribean: Curse of the Black Pearl on Blu Ray.
Both the PotC films are in the BoGo Free sale so it's easy to get them for $12 each shipped. Great sale with amazing results!
I can hardly believe it.

It's not shocking to me.
If you don't already have both Pirates movies, the BOGO deal is too hard to pass up.

:rolleyes: how can you compare the movies, of course people will buy BOGO deals vs transformers it is a no brainer, 2 movies for 30 compare to 1 movie for what 30.00 bucks.
comparisons should be done against transformers and POTC at worlds end. not with a BOGO deals.

Brian, are we to believe that you, (a blu fanatic) are now using AMAZON SALES, to brag up your Blu-Ray???
If I only got a nickel for every time a blublood shot down amazon numbers, hell, I night even buy a blu-ray player and about 20 movies and still have money left over.
I guess whatever works this week huh?

Yep.
I think the BOGO promos are simply to prevent HD DVD from winning this week in software sales. If the BDA continues to win every week of this year it provides them with more bragging rights. They won't have to say "We won every week but one thanks to Paramount and that damn Transformers movie!" Much nicer if they can just say "We won every week, therefore the war is over (again).

Now Both of the PotC Blu Rays are outselling the Transformers on HD DVD.
I'm impressed. At any rate if anyone hasn't got the PotC movies on Blu Ray yet,.. now is a great time to pick them up.

Amazon sales this time reflect what is going on in the HD market because all the huge B&M retailers are together having BOGO sales. Thank you.
