Here is the scenario...
Audiophile gear... Conrad-Johnson MET-1 + MET-150
Totem signature-1 speakers
(F/R = twins, C = center, FS/RS = smaller signature-1, LFE = Totem as well)

Anyways... DVD works great with the 5.1 analog output going to the 6 channel analog input of MET1.
From there, pre-amped signal goes to MET150

Now the problem:
Trying to plug the PVR-satellite into the whole system, I have no 5.1 analog output (for video, not an issue). How to get analog sound to put as input in Pre-amp ?
Is there any equipment that will do the Dolby Digital Decoding ONLY so I can take the optical output of PVR/sat-receiver into that "new box", who's analaog outputs would go into the Pre-Amp, or am I stuck with a solution where I'll have to get a Pre-Amp for HT that includes the decoding, such as Arcam AVP700 or something similar.

Thanks for your help.

(can't post reference links to amp + pre-amp for cross-reference -- newbie here --)
it can be accessed through conradjohnson webpage:

You need a DD decoder. Look on eBay for such as they were made in the past and still show up from time to time. I have a Technics unit but there were others.

finally ended up getting one.
What you guys think of the Adcom GDD-1 ?
Found it in great shape and hopefully will be doing some tests in a week time.
Hard to find information on decoders.

Thanks,

Dolby also makes professional standalone decoders, if you want the very best (and most expensive).
