Doing my DD + GG + DD tomorrow....

Want to seal the gaps tonight with Acousti seal...

1) How thick do I lay it on?
2) How do I level it so it does ot interfere with my second layer height?
3) Should I fill the corners or just fill after with mud?

I would seal all joints on both layers with caulk. I used wood shims to spread the caulk on the joints and my finger in all the corners. buy yourself a box of latex gloves to keep from getting to messy ;)

I am covering my entire room with fabric so I am skipping the mudding part not sure what your plan is. My thought was why try and make the walls all smooth and pretty when i'm just going to cover them up.

For visible walls, I think most people do the standard mud/tape combo. Caulk would be for drwall that won't be seen.
