I have a Directv HD DVR driving my HDTV (HDMI connection). The HD DVR and HDTV are in my Family Room. I would like to put an HDTV in my bedroom and drive it from the existing Family Room HD DVR. This would allow me to continue watching a show in bed if I wanted.

My house has two RG6s (as well as two CAT-5s) to my bedroom from a central wiring closet. It will be very difficult to get any additional wires into the bedroom. I can run any type of wire I need from the Family Room HDVT DVR to the wiring closet.

My questions is: How can I get my Family Room HD DVR to provide a signal to the HDTV in the bedroom so that I can continue watching a show when I go to the bedroom? Is there a way to use the existing RG6 or CAT5 cables? Some kind of converter? Many Thanks

You can use an HDMI over cat5 extender. The things are expensive though. http://yahoo-ssp-cnet.com.com/system-power-cables/hdmi-over-cat5-extender/4014-3107_9-32044542.html?tag=semclg&subj=q5717568017145 shows some.
