I'm using my Acer PH530 for gaming and love it. Although I'm using it with my PS3, I'm sure via PC would be very similar. It does have HDMI in and runs 720p native, 1080i upscaling. Oh yea, and I paid $599 plus shipping via Amazon, awesome price and product.

Mitsubishi HC1500, it's really bright, which makes it great for gaming.

It normally goes for $999, but it can be had for less if you hunt around a bit.

I almost bought the Mitsu 1500 but went with a used panny AE700 my buddy was selling. Id go with either one.

Look at the sharp XR10X thread. XR10X-l and now there is a XR30X being talked about.
