My 688 is quickly going south. I can't even program it since the jack broke off inside the unit. It's time for something new.

I have the usual TV, DTV, HD-DVD, DVD, Receiver, etc. I'd also like to control the lights and ceiling fan (RF) if possible.

I'm leaning toward the 890 or 1000. I'm about to go read everything I can on the forum about the 1000 righ now.
