Tried a search and there hasn't been any recent discussions of wireless/bluetooth keyboards. I'm leaning toward the diNovo from Logitech but it's a bit pricey and large at (16" long). Any recent recs out there? (Also, I'd prefer not to have to deal with a dongle so BT is preferable).

The BestBuy around here has that keyboard for $79. The price used to be about double that so it's fairly reasonable now.

I have the Rocketfish BT keyboard and mouse combo from BB. It works with the ps3 every time after pairing..no dongle required! I have had it for a few months and it has not disappointed me in any way. Sometimes you can catch the combo on sale for $49.99...like I did.

I have the Dinovo on mine. The funny thing is that I got a new one from Logitech when my mouse quit working. They told me I could throw it away. Well I never did and so I wound up with a spare keyboard for the PS3. It works great.

Are you sure it's the Dinovo from Logitech? I can't find it anywhere online for less than $114 (and that's after a $50 rebate only available at J & R Music World). Most places have it in the $170 range.....a bit steep.

Do you have a link...I can't find it at Best Buy's site.

Be careful, there are multiple different diNovo models, some being inexpensive and less-featured versions of the good ones:
- diNovo Bluetooth Media Desktop, expensive, MX1000 laser mouse, detached media pad in place of the normal number pad
- diNovo Desktop, inexpensive, basic wireless mouse, no media pad ( i think )
- diNovo Edge, expensive, integrated keyboard/touchpad mouse, sharp looking.

Yeah...it's the Edge that looks interesting. Anybody use it and if so, how do you like it? CNet's reviews knock the touchpad's sensitivity so I'm on the fence.

I've had the Edge for about 6 months now and have no regrets. Yes, it's on the pricey side but it works great, and looks great, with the PS3. No problem with touchpad sensitivity---just takes a little getting used to if you're used to using a mouse.

Yes, they have the Edge for $79 here locally. Two boxes were on the shelf when I was there last week with that price.

I'll wait until there are some actual PS3 games that support mouse/keyboard and people's reviews before I decide on picking up a BT keyboard/mouse set.

Not interested in gaming with the Bt keyboard....want it strictly for web browsing.

Just went to BB and they have a Logitech BT PS3 keyboard for 79 bucks but it is NOT the edge.

Cool, at mine they have the Edge. Maybe they we're trying to clear them out.

I have one on my Amazon wish list. I like that it has the integrated touchpad, as i'd be using it from the couch with no readily available place for a mouse. Sounds like you don't have to use a dongle either.

Well, no links to amazon here, evidently. The one i want is $74 there, and is called "Playstation 3 Cordless MediaBoard Keyboard Pro"

I just got the Logitech Mediaboard Pro for the ps3 yesterday. All in all its ok. No problems pairing it with my ps3. Feels a little cheap, but its made to sit on your lap. I still really wish that they put more playstation controller buttons on the thing. Still can navigate about the xmb or internet browser as freely as Id like to. They really should include the PS button on there.

Anyone know who ships to the UK.

Any news on when Sony are going to release their's?

Hmmm...When i do a search for the logitech's playstation 3 media pro on Amazon the price I see is 73.99. Where do you get 46.99?

<EDIT> Ok, answering my own question....Amazon has the non-bluetooth version with no PS3 keys on site for 46.99. Not a great option.

Sorry about that.

Anyway there is a review on the UK Amazon site that says it doesn't work if you have linux installed and are trying to use it that way.

Everything in Linux requires drivers. Give it a few months and they'll be Linux drivers for that keyboard too.

I just bought a Rocketfish one and it took like 2 seconds to setup through the blutooth setup and works without plugging in the USB receiver, so it is working naturally with the PS3s Blutooth receiver. I got the keyboard/mouse combo (giving the mouse to my Dad with his new blutooth laptop for xmas) on sale at futureshop in canada for around 50bucks!

I just got a 60GB PS3; under Register Bluetooth Device, only two choices come up (Register BD Remote Control and Register Headset/Microphone/Headphones). I registered my remote with no problem, but there is no choice for the keyboard. I tried using the Headset etc. and scanning for the keyboard but nothing came up. Can anyone help me with how to register my keyboard? Thanks in advance.

You probably need to do a firmware update.

I just scored the new Logitech Mediaboard Pro last week at BB. They had it under the tag from the first version so I got it at a clearance price! Works pretty well.

Thanks. You were correct. After I updated firmware to 2.0, the KB option came up under BT equipment.

This one was picked up for me on Black Friday. I can't wait to try it out. From what I understand, I won't need the USB dongle since it uses blue tooth and so does the PS3. Can someone please confirm?

Thanks,
M

I'd like more info on the Mediaboard Pro.

For those who have it, what do you think about? Please list a couple of pro's and con's about it.
