Hey all, new here but hoping someone can help me out. I have a rear projection Mitsubishi WS-65511 that was purchased new in ~2003. It has been awesome and have had no problems....until now. The other day I go to turn on the set via the remote and nothing, I figure no problem, batteries crapped out, I change the batteries with no result. I go to the front panel, hit power and boom, TV turns on. Go back to the remote to switch inputs, nothing. Try switching inputs from the front panel with no result. In short, other than power, I have no control over the television via front panel or remote (Mitsubishi provided or other).

I called a local repair shop and they mentioned that they have been seeing this problem recently with Mitsubishi rear projection TV's but didn't really expand on the problem. They said try unplugging the set for a bit which I did with no result and I also tried the system rest button with no result. Luckily I am locked into my DTV input ;) Any ideas? Any background on the problem? Any help is much appreciated, I am technically savy so anything I can try to be ready for the World Series would be awesome.

Thanks,
Scott

Probably something wrong with the front control circuit board. Possibly one of the keys stuck down or bad/shorted. If stuck, you might be able to release it by repeatedly pressing all the front keys besides power.
Might just be bad board though. Could even be main board.
