I have the Hitachi 57T500 and have noticed an overscan problem. I first started noticing it on my Satelite HDTV Receiver where portions of each side were cut off.
I then recently purchased an xbox 360 and noticed when playing Top Spin that the sides were cut off because portions of text were cut. I put in the DVE dvd to look at the overscan test pattern and it's showing about 7-8% overscan on the right side, 5% on the left and the top and bottom were just about right.
Do you guys recommend a full-on calibration performed by an ISF certified technician or is there a way of adjusting this? I would like to get it at about 5% on both sides.
I do not have the service manual but would be willing to try and learn more about the various menus within the service menus. That said, not sure if it's something outside of my reach.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. As a side question, anyone know of a good ISF technician in the Toronto/Oakville area?
Thanks...
