View Full Version : Green bias with component input

I have a CRT RPTV and I utilize the component input to view all my HD sources.
I noticed today that it is my set that is the culprit in showing some of these sources with a green bias.(I have the set calibrated using AVIA)
Certain sources look fine/natural, but certain ones have a green hue to them; IF I connect these sources to another HDTV with component inputs, I do NOT get the green hue.
This leaves me scratching my head; WHY is my HDTV producing the green hues with certain sources?(the worse culprit is my W-VHS deck, followed by my IO Data Linkplayer, both set to 1080i).(sources that look fine are my HTPC also set to 1080i and my JVC DVD player at 480p).
Any help is much appreciated.

Probably green push. It's for sports fans, so the field looks greener. Same as red push (for flesh tones). Both are evil. See if you can switch color decoders either in the menu settings or the service menu settings. Be forewarned, service menu settings are only for people who know what they're doing!
