Can people reccomend some recessed lighting (or a thread) that doesnt spill light onto the screen, focusing instead on the sofa or back half of a 14'x14' room? Are there some models that are better than others? I'm looking to install 2 to 4 of them and use a dimmer for movies and a full blast for sports.

Thank you.

get cans with pin hole baffles. The light goes straight down.

these are 6 inch cans but I also used some 4 inchers that are even more focused.

You can also get cans with eyeballs to direct the light.

thanks, yes the H79 aka the "Depreciator" (for drop in value)

Good picture for HD sources, burns bulbs at the rate of 500hours each.

Also pay attention to the beam spread when you buy your bulbs.

I used narrow beam spreads (either 8 or 10 degrees) in my 4" cans to get a much tighter pattern aimed downward and minimize "horizontal" travel of the light.

Ahh, interesting. I'll have to look for that. Thats excactly what I wanted to know.

Should I be using incandescent or Halogen or how about LED? Also, does 6500k thing matter? Thanks
