I'm getting The Eye of Judgment on Wed. It comes with the eye and a stand.

I'm fine with the Eyetoy I have. Until something comes out similar to Eyetoy Play for the PlayStation Eye I'll just wait. The original eyetoy works well for video chat and the Tiger Woods 08 GameFace ability. Heck it even has a microphone in it that works for chating in HOME.

I will be getting Eye of Judgment as well.

I am really interested in getting the PS-Eye and using it with eyecreate.
Since my daughter and her nanny are sometimes in the family room i would love to have the ability to have it take timelapse video and store for me to review later or remote play the stream.

So i really do not need eye of judgment.

I went to Best Buy and they have Eye of Judgment as hitting the shelves tomorrow. Guess I'll get it then.

Does any one know how much Eye of Judgement will cost?

Have you used the PS3 video chat much? If you've compared it to video chat on a PC I'd love to hear your thoughts on the advantages of each...

I don't think so, when more stuff that uses it is out you'll probably see it separate.

It actually can be bought separately for 39.99 I think. Or with the EOJ for 69.99

I haven't used the video chat function on the PS3 a lot since there's only a couple people I know that have an Eyetoy as well. I would say it's comparable to a computer video chat experience. One difference is when chatting on the PS3 I'm about 9 ft away from the camera where as on a PC I'm only a couple feet away. So I use a bluetooth headset on the PS3 for chatting. The mic in the Eyetoy pics up the sound of the PS3 fan (about 3 feet away) if I try to use that as a mic.

IGN says high quality printouts of the cards are Acknowledged by the eyetoy. Reportedly duplicates of cards are indeed identical so I'd give it a week till there's a torrent of all the cards online.

Hope that isn't true. Will pretty much kill the game since if no one is buying booster packs there is no motivation for Hasbro to print new cards in the future. THey won't sell enough versions of the game itself to make a ton of money. They are hoping on the booster pack sales for that.

The Best Buy on Park & Central in Dallas didn't get any copies of EOJ. I called around and found 2 at the one at LBJ and Midway. I picked one up. No booster packs or theme decks there. BTW, trying to open the packaging without scissors or a knife is quite a challenge (picked it up at lunch and brought it back to the office). My fingers are all scratched up and bleeding.

Dammit, I can't find any report of the Eye being sold seperately in Canada.

EB Games (their .com site) lists the Eye being released stand alone on the 25th but I'm not sure if this applies to Canada or not.

I really don't care about Eye of Judgement, I just want the camera.

Anyone from Canada got any info?

Best Buy had it in Sacramento (Arden). No boosters or starter decks though. Fun game. I called 3 Gamestops and all 3 are not going to carry the game! WTF? No cards either. I called A-1 comics (a good size card dealer) and they flat out said no, they won't carry the cards. This could be a decent game if the support is there for it.

EDIT: It seems the only place to get the cards (ironically enough) is ebgames/gamestop online. The actual game is backordered but the cards are in stock.

That's bad for card sales but I believe the game has systems in place to protect players from overly uber decks by limiting play of super poweful cards.

I'm surprised the cards can be duplicated so easily. I half expected each card to have a unique bar code so you couldn't register a card if it was already registered to someone else. Couldn't they at least have made some sort of holographic inlay that the eye could read but couldn't be copied? Maybe even some IR ink the eye camera could discern?

Well, I have it on a x-mas wish list. If I get it, cool, if not, oh well.

Cold-Steel - The last I heard from my EB here in Toronto EOJ won't be here until early November.

**Edit - I saw it in a few game stores today.**

Well, I downloaded EyeCreate from the PSN Store last night hoping it might work with the original Eyetoy. I doesn't, which is too bad. When it launches it checks to see if there is specifically the Playstation Eye attached to the PS3.

I just hope everyone doesn't just print out all the same cards because they make the "best" deck. Hopefully they design the game so that each deck would have a weakness.

Yeah.... a small serial number would have worked great. Since you have to register your cards that would have made duplication impossible.

This is true. I wouldn't worry about dealing with players cheating with counterfeit cards... it won't really give anyone an advantage. The powerful cards are balanced so that no player can dominate simply by having the rare cards. The only benefit of the counterfeit cards is owning a complete deck without buying a lot of packs, and they're worthless if the cards aren't real.
