I've got a resonable set up at the moment with a 42" HD plasma, HD PVR, xbox360, etc. I have the input devices going through a Yamaha AV receiver connected to my plasma.
I'm looking to add a front projector to the mix. I noticed a number of people have their flat screen TV with a pull down screen over the front of it. So my question is how do you get the output going to either the plasma or the projector? The AV receiver I have, has only one output component conenction? Do I need a receiver with multiple outputs? Do I use a switch box to swtich the single receiver output into two signals?
Regards
Jeff

Yes, use a switch box. Monoprice.com has several powered HDMI switchers that have a remote control if you are using HDMI.

You took away my thunder. Hope the fires aren't threatening you. Looks like the Santa Anna's are going to be a problem for awhile longer.

Thanks for the kind thought. Good fortune has smiled on SD proper. It's the north and south ends of the county feeling the pain this time. SD got its whooping four years ago with the Cedar fire of 2003. Most of the structural damage has been limited to the eastern perimeter. Highly incorporated areas pretty much just get smoke and ash.
Anyway, welcome to California. Tsunami threats from the west, fires from the east, and earthquakes underneath.
You all come visit now, ya hear.:D

I lived in North Park and then Tierasanta for about 12 years, 82 to 94 so I was there for the North Park fire that started down by the now gone Lehrs Greenhouse restaurant.
I had a few friends lose their houses in that Cedar fire out in Harbison Canyon. Fortunately, not their lives. Now I have some friends in Jamul...
The four seasons of SoCal - Earthquake, Fire, Flood, Riot.
I definitely preferred Cali to the DC area where I am now!
