I just purchased the 720, based on readings from the furom and i must say i am quite happy. The remote is great.

However, if you do have on of sight equipment, definitely get the 890 or any rf product.

Personally i like the shape and feel of the 720. So far i have setup my tv, cable box, sat box and pc.

My only question, is how users have setup their Samsung tv to change sources. Currently, my tv cycles through sources. Is there a direct way to each source?

I did notice that when i go to the buttons (on the lcd panel) i notice that there is a direct button for each source.

You have to go into the TV Device setting and change the behavior of the Samsung inputs. There is a command that will send discrete commands.

HOW? Could you explain?

I have the ln-s4696d, if that helps.

From the main menu, select the Devices tab.

1. Under TV, select Settings
2. Adjust Inputs
3. Method 2: Select this method if the remote has labeled buttons like VIDEO 1, VIDEO 2, and each button displays a unique source input label on the screen.
