I have had my 60 gb PS3 for about 2 weeks now and I am really enjoying it. I am starting to get used to the controls too ( came from PC gaming for the first time ).

I have downloaded alot of the demos on PSN and like quite a few. My question is are there any places to see demos to download on the PS3 for PS2 games? I would rather see how some PS2 games look before spending any money on them for my 6 year old daughter. If they don't look to good then I will know and just get her PS3 games when they come out for her.

So does anyone know if I can find downloadable demos for PS2 games to try on the PS3?

Nope. There were at times demo DISCS floating around for various games, but you won't find anything downloadable.

These games are for you no matter how much you try and convince yourself otherwise.

That said, there are no PS2 demos available. You can find used copies online of most of the major PS2 releases for between $5 and $20. Do your research (player reviews and critical reviews, game videos, screenshots), and you'll be fine.

She could care less how the game looks if it is fun to her. I am the one who is a bit anal about how it would look. She would continue to play away at any game she likes, while I would cringe if the video looks horrid to me. Oh well, I guess I can pick up a couple used ones for cheap and let her try them. The PS2 games are hers only. I am getting the big bucks PS3 games for myself. Nice of me huh.:o

She doesn't know the cost of these games anyways. My $60 game to her is the same as her $5 used game. She is only 6.;)

Star wars super bombad racer is fun for kids. It has character like dark maul on speeder cars with big heads. Silly silly fun.

Star wars battlefront 2 is fun.

Ssx 3 looks great and is fun.

I played Guantlet with a kid and had fun.

Look for used game lots on ebay and craigslist. I also buy used games from amazon.
