looking for what 720P projectors have internet upgradeable firmware. This feature seems more important as time goes by.

hmmm....not sure how important this is. Some manufacturers already (and have for years) offer the ability to download the firmware and use a computer to hook up to the PJ and install it. In the very rear cases that updates are offered, this seems to be adequate enough.

AFAIK, Infocus may have this capability as well as Marantz. Not sure if all of their PJs does this.

just seems like that are many small issues that are resolved via fimware updates.

What a pain to have to package the projector and ship back to the manufacturer when you could just download a new firmware, install yourself and be watching that next program!

Yep, it is definitely one think I had usually looked at in the past, no so much anymore. Since most PJs come with an RS-232 port, I guess that can be used to update it, the issue is that most manufacturers still do not provide firmware updates or rarely do.
